Child Protection Advocacy

We offer advocacy support to disabled people who are going through child protection processes. That means we work with:

  • People with physical disabilities

  • People with learning difficulties and disabilities

  • People with mental health needs

Who have involvement from children’s services. We can work with from the Early Help stage through to Public Law Outline. Please note that we are not able to support clients at court and we are not able to support post-court (e.g. at ongoing LAC reviews) if the child/ren have been removed and there is no plan for reunification.

We offer practical support throughout the process. We attend meetings alongside our clients and advocate for their needs to be met as well as those of their children, perhaps by making sure they have access to social care.
