With the current Cost of Living crisis, our Financial Hardship Adviser can provide information and advice to people who find themselves at risk of, or in, financial crisis.

 

Support they can provide:
  • Maximising income

  • Hints and tips on reducing your outgoings

  • Consumer deals including energy saving tips

  • Budget planning

  • Debt advice

 

Ways they can help with boosting income:
  • Conducting welfare benefit checks, including giving information and guidance on completing benefit applications

  • Exploring potential grants and conducting additional funding checks

  • Giving information and explaining options around topics such as bank accounts, balance transfers, credit scores and interest rates

  • Offering hints and tips on how to ‘shop smarter’

  • Assisting with completion of Disability Related Expenses

  • Support to understand letters and documents provided by other organisations
