Sadly, Judith Margolis, our newest trustee, passed away last Tuesday morning.
I have had the pleasure of working with Judith, and her beloved dog Fudge, over a number of years. She was a great person to spend time with and was a passionate advocate of the Social Model of Disability.
Judith was Chair of Disability Cambridgeshire, where she worked tirelessly to support disabled people and make sure people got the best advice and support available. I know she loved the organisation and she was always on the look out for anything she could learn that might be able to be used or improve the work she did there.
Working with Judith was always a great experience. She was always full of energy and enthusiasm, and always funny, with a great story to tell. I asked Judith if she would like to join Equal Lives as a trustee last year during the lock down. She had only sat as a trustee for a short while but made a big impact on the board and made good friends.
She will be hugely missed by anyone who knew her.
