Volunteer Recruitment Week!

Here at Equal Lives we’ve launched our Volunteer Recruitment Week this week alongside Mental Health Awareness Week, as we know the benefits of volunteering on wellbeing can be worth their weight in gold! In fact, there are several studies that now show volunteering decreases depression and increases a feeling of self-fulfilment and confidence.

If you’re passionate about disability rights then you’re our kind of person and we’re talking to you. Have you ever wanted to help others and do something that really matters, but been unsure of how to go about it? We’ve launched a new range of volunteer roles to suit a variety of skills and people, from remote working to hands on experiences. Whether you’d like to get involved and become a volunteer with us or think you could help us by spreading the word, every little bit of help makes a difference!

We would love for you to join our team and support our mission of breaking down barriers to enable disabled people to live the life they choose to, in a more independent way. There are loads of ways you can get involved with our volunteering programme and support Equal Lives. Why not gain experience in online promotion with our Social Media and Marketing Assistant role or work hands-on with the community by joining our Shopmobility team in Chantry Place (used to be Chapelfield). We’re also looking for support in Customer Services, Benefits Advice, Finance and much more. Click here to find out more about the roles!

Or maybe you’ve got an idea of something you think would make a great project for disability rights and awareness, if that’s the case then get in touch and let’s talk – volunteers@equallives.org.uk
