Money Matters

Our Money Matters service is designed to help you with your 

personal finances. It is a short programme where an advocate 

will help you with things like:

  • Setting up a bank account and direct debits

  • Organising your outgoings and bills

  • Helping you to speak with organisations you owe money to

  • Checking your eligibility for benefits

  • Providing basic budgeting help

Your advocate will try to help you be more independent and build on your skills and confidence to help you to do more things yourself. Financial advocates are not able to handle cash or have access to your bank account.

How to make a referral?

Usually you will need a professional such as a care assessor or social worker to refer you to this service. In some cases, if you live in Norwich, you may be able to self-refer. Please contact us to check on your eligibilty or to refer someone to us. You can call us on 01508 491 210 or email at
